Turkish referee chief and six officials arrested in suspicion of corruption

September 30 – The head of Turkey’s refereeing body has been arrested in a police investigation into corruption. Ferhat Gundogdu, president of the referees’ body, was detained along with his vice-president and five others. Police searched homes, workplaces and offices.
